Frequently Asked Questions
Â
Why does the app need my location?
Survive Me uses your GPS speed to drive the speedometer and to control how the engine sound's pitch and volume change as you ride faster or slower. Your location never leaves your device.
Â
Why does the app need microphone access?
Only if you use the Record Sound or Megaphone features. Recordings are saved only on your device.
Â
How do I use my own sound as the engine sound?
Record a clip or upload an audio file from the Record Sound section, then double-tap the Recordings button to arm it as your continuous engine sound. Single-tap plays it once as a quick alert.
Â
What does the in-app purchase unlock?
A free trial lets you try recording and uploading your own sounds. After the trial, a one-time purchase unlocks recording and uploading permanently. The built-in sound library keeps working either way.
Â
I found a bug — what should I include when I report it?
Your iPhone model, iOS version, and the app version (found in Settings), plus a short description of what happened. Email these to the address above.
